I was aiming for a slightly brighter shade of bronze on the wheels but still like the effect of the results

4 with black first then 4 of the metalizer. This was just with the spray cans. 3 good coats of metalizer would probably give the brighter shade I had in mind.

Beautiful Speed3.. I dipped the wheels on my Skyactiv '13 last week, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, as well.

Edit: I'm thinking it's a Skyactiv i Grand Touring with Speed wheels, the more I look at it... IIRC, the 2.5 had dual tips, and I know the Speeds did.

It's a Speed. I actually just saw one of the 2.5's you're referencing the other day. Good looking cars and I think the only way to tell its's not a speed while it's rollling is lack of hood scoop or if you can see the 2.5 on the back.

......Tail pipes probably stay cleaner on the 2.5 as well Lol

I couldn't see the second exhaust tip from here, so.. Still, I love the car.

Below is my Plasti-dip experiment. I sprayed the rear valance and the wheels, and then wrapped the roof. I'm mostly pleased, though I have some bubbles to get out of the roof.

That's a cool look on the roof. From the rear it looks like you have a MASSIVE moon roof or something.

Also I forgot to say the wheels look really nice. I painted my stockers graphite and it didn't turn out so well.. I have some Enkei pf01's on it now

No mods yet. Wanted to just slap a SRI in there but now my research has me worried bout doing it without AccessPort which I don't feel like paying for. Prob just going to start with some shifter bushings / trans mount inserts to get some lag out of the system for now.

Good look on the wheels. Which color is your speed? White seems to be the one I've seen most thus far. (around me anyway)

Thanks and I think all said and done I probably put about 4 hours into this. About 9 coats total so plenty of time for beer drinking in between the actual work.

Mine's black, genpu like yours. SRI is a fun mod, I did that one for a few months before I went full ape and went almost fully bolted with a custom tune. I had no problems with it and could feel a gain. The turbo induction and bypass valve noises were awesome also. I've heard rumors of guys getting a CEL but I never had any issues with one.
